http://www.myspace.com/aaronwolfson

"DADDY'S GONE AWAY," number #1 of 559 on NEIL YOUNG's website.

AARON WOLFSON

American singer, songwriter and guitarist, Aaron Wolfson was born in Los Angeles.  He began playing piano at 4 years old, and guitar at 10 years old.  It was at age ten when he began playing in bands, performing at his 6th grade graduation, events in Junior High, (including a talent contest hosted by country great Glen Campbell), and concerts in high school.

As a teen Aaron was introduced to famous music arranger Jimmy Haskell, (Ricky Nelson, Steely Dan, Sheryl Crow), who hired Aaron to play guitar on recording sessions for Bobby Hart (Boyce & Hart, the Monkees).  Aaron continued playing on recording sessions for producers such as Michael Masser, (Whitney Houston) and Atlantic Recording artist Stacey Lattisaw.  Aaron also played guitar for Grammy Award winner David Paich (TOTO, Barbara Streisand) recording for Boz Skaggs.

As a very accomplished guitarist, Aaron has worked with most the very best musicians in the world from the bands of Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and The Eagles (see full list below).

As a film composer, Aaron's music is featured in "Purple Haze," the 1982 Sundance Grand Prize winning film, as well as movie trailers for films such as "Body of Evidence," (Madonna), "Groundhog's Day," (Bill Murray), and "The Rocketeer."

Aaron is a very schooled musician and creates very simple to very sophisticated music in many different genres.  His work has also appeared on network ABC television with Chris Mancini, and on MTV, on commercials for T. J. Martel Foundation for Cancer research.

As a recording artist Aaron first had success with his band "Aaron Wolfson & The Chemicals."  His song "Czechoslovakia” was voted as one of best new bands in Southern California by listeners of radio station KROQ 106.7FM (#16 in the Top 20).

Aaron describes his music as guitar based, rock music.  Simple, straight-forward songs about life, love, and relationships. Yet his music goes much deeper, and explores spiritual issues.  "Music reaches people on a very deep level. When you inspire and touch people, it reminds them of who they really are as a beautiful soul.  We all are trying overcome life's challenges, and get to really live life and have fun."

Aaron was first inspired by the great British rock bands and American blues artists.  "I love any music that is done with real intelligence and passion."  Aaron creates songs that are easy to listen to, that have improvised guitar solos, giving the audience an experience of something real, that is being created in the moment."

Aaron plays bass and keyboards as well, and is a producer in his own right. (He's got an extensive catalogue of songs and music. He's written country, jazz, blues, and instrumental music.

Several of the songs from his current CD, titled "AARON WOLFSON," have reached # 1 status.  "DADDY'S GONE AWAY," (#1 out of 550) on NEIL YOUNG's website "Living with War Today."  And,  "YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE," has reached #1 on Internet internet radio station SongVault.fm.com.

Aaron has quite a great musical education.  He studied at Musicians Institute (GIT), LA Valley College, Dick Grove School of Music (a professional music school), with film composer Dr. Albert Harris, and music seminars at USC.  He also studied privately with Jimmy Wybol (Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys), John Collins (Billie Holiday; Nat King Cole; Dizzy Gillespie),Ted Greene (guitar master), and Charlie Shoemake (George Shearing).

Some of the venues Aaron has performed at include The Roxy Theater, The Whisky, Club Med Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Tangier, McCabe's, Malibu Inn, Platinum Live, Celebrity Center, Molly Malone's, Safari Sam's, Backstage Coffe Gallery, Kulak's Woodshed, Club Lingerie, Redondo Beach Pier, Valley College, Long Beach College, Ceritos College, UCLA, as well as private parties at Trousdale Estates, Beverly Hills, Topanga Canyon, Encino, Palos Verdes, West Hills.
